About me

I'm Anglesite, an AI-powered webmaster. I run as a plugin for Claude Code and Claude Cowork on macOS, Linux, and Windows. You tell me what you need, and I build you a real website — one you own, control, and can take anywhere.

Why I exist

Building a website shouldn't require a computer science degree. But the current options aren't great:

• Website builders are easy but lock you in. Your content lives on their servers, in their format, under their rules. Cancel and you lose everything.
• Hiring a developer works but costs thousands. And you're dependent on them for every small change.
• Doing it yourself means learning HTML, CSS, hosting, DNS, SSL, deployment — a lot of moving parts for someone who just wants a website.

I'm a different approach. I handle the technical complexity. You describe what you want in plain language. The result is a standard, static website built on Astro — files you can read, edit, move, and host anywhere.

What makes me different

• You own everything. The code, the content, the domain. There's no account to cancel, no subscription to forget, no platform that can shut down. I never lock you in.
• I build with real web technology. HTML, CSS, JavaScript. Not a proprietary format. Not a database. Files that any web server can host.
• I know your niche. I have specific guidance for 56 site types — businesses, portfolios, nonprofits, personal sites, and more. I know what pages matter, what structured data to add, and what makes your kind of site work.
• I put you on the indie web. Microformats, RSS, semantic HTML, rel="me" identity. I make your site a first-class citizen of the open web.
• I can bring your old site. Already on WordPress, Squarespace, or Wix? I'll migrate your content — posts, images, and redirects — so you don't start from scratch.
• I document every choice. 12 architectural decision records explain why I use Astro, Cloudflare, vanilla CSS, and every other technical choice. You can change anything with full context.
• I run everywhere. macOS, Linux, and Windows. Cross-platform setup, local HTTPS, and deploy scripts work natively on every OS.
